i like this look too. however, depending on ur eye, it can look ReALLY great if u start going straight and upwards at 3/4 of the outer eye instead of lining the WHOLE eye. i tilt my head back and look Downwards into the mirror to get close to the lash line. so start at the inner corner... when u get 3/4 of the way (when your eye kind of goes downwards), try going straight and upwards. when u look normally at ur eyes, it will make your eyes look bigger. good luck! :) practice practiceI need help with makeup? Want to do cleopatra eyeliner!?
I'm assuming that you're referring to the ';cat eye'; look. I've been doing my eye liner like that for the past 8 years. It really takes a lot of practice. What you want to do is buy a good liquid eye liner to start. I use Almay's Amazing I-Liner. This stuff is great. It's got a very thin tip but it's so easy to make either thick or really thin lines. Line your eyes as you normally would and then extend the liner to the outer lid. Don't make the line straight 'cause that really doesn't look good. Instead extend the line and curve it upwards. Trust me, the more you practice, the easier it gets. Good luck!

I neeeeeed help with makeup?
I want to look good cause im eyeing a guy that i like andi want to look good but i have no idea what im doing like if you ask me to do anyone elses makeup that would be great im good at doing other peole but not me.I dont want to turn to mags because i cant find that kind of stuff that they tell you to use! Who can i turn to!I neeeeeed help with makeup?
lets see... make sure you dont look overdone, he wont like that. let him see the natural you. go for a bronzer a light colored lip gloss. use a golden brown colored eyeshadow and a little eyeliner and mascaraI neeeeeed help with makeup?
it's easy to turn a head if you go 'natural'. find a powder foundation that matches your complexion just to even out your skin tone. use a good chap stick to smooth our your lips and then put on a tinted gloss or a neutral shade of lipstick. line your eyes with a black or brown, or any other color depending on your outfit, eye color, and hair color, just go with what you think looks great, and stick with a shadow to match just over your lid, not up to your brow.
natural looks tend to attract someone much more than the 'I'm hiding behind all this blush and eyeshadow' look. [but you really shouldn't be trying to impress anyone, be yourself =]
Try the covergirl products, they are great and cheap. Just play around with it until you get it right. Remember to cover up with concealer, then liquid makeup, then blush, a little eyeliner, and mascara, lip gloss and you're all set!
XOXOXO!!!
hey i know that story. i found a book by Kevin Aucoin called making faces, and it had some of the best makeup tips and methods ever!! all you need is that book...
I like mac the brand if that answers your question
when ever you need help and advice you can always ask me my email is jessylipgloss@yahoo.com i used to be a model since i was 3 until now
e-mail me and i can help you. when i modeled they tough me how to do make-up
Actually mags do help they give you sort of an idea of your style, but yet again you will not find too much of that hig-fashion stuff at your retail store. For eyes if you have dark eyes use brighter colors, and darker colors for the bottom line from just under the iris to the outer corner. To tone down big eyes:
Sweep black mascara on upper lashes.
Apply light shadow on the eyelids and apply more intense shades in the creases.....
also add lift to the outer corners..For small eyes:
Dot concealer on the innermost corner of your eyes to make the eyes pop instantly!

I need help with makeup ideas?
what are some brands of makeup like mac???
oh and how can you do a dark eye with drug store makeupI need help with makeup ideas?
This video really helped me with the dark eye. She uses a special kind of eyeshadow, but it's not necessary. I used other kinds and it turned out perfect.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aq6OF870g鈥?/a>I need help with makeup ideas?
try 'Nyxx' .. you get some great bargains on new makeup on ebay.. maybe try there.. but makeup's worth the investment, so rather then buying loads of inexpensive brands, try middle of the road and highend products to get good results.. by buying products like MAC you'll get amazing results that will last a long time, longer and less expensive then buying inexpensive brands again and again :)
Shadow matching: It's almost never a good idea to match your eye shadow color to your eye color -- especially if you have blue or green eyes. Blue eyes look amazing with navy liner but disappear with blue shadow. In general, neutral colors that contrast with eye color work better.

I need help with makeup steps!?
I keep hearing that foundation works really good for your face.
Can you put foundation, concealer, a base powder, and a finishing powder on? Or is that too much?I need help with makeup steps!?
You can, but you don't really need to. Concealer, foundation and finishing powder should be plenty. Have fun!I need help with makeup steps!?
you can use all of that if you are wanting to be made up.
but not if you are going with a natural look.
just dont use excess and it shouldnt be too much.
%26amp; i dont really see why you need a base powder as long as you have a finishing powder your makeup should stay in place for a while.
not if you only want a natural look. if you want to be made up for an evening, wear as much as looks nice, but not in the day time as you could end up looking too pale or orange and matte-skinned.
use concealer only where needed,
but base and finishing powder is basically the same.
ya just be careful it might look fake or caked on. you look your best when your makeup is natural. and if its a cream or liquid concealer do that first but if its a powder do that after foundation.
you can do that, but i made a video to help with that:

Makeup tips or help, PLEASE?
I am not a very good makeup applier I mean I am good with face power and concealer and like gloss but the eyes, I have a bit of trouble with and I have very beautiful blue eyes that I get compliments on all the time, and suggestions so I can have them stand out more or just look nicer with eye make up on?Makeup tips or help, PLEASE?
you should start out easy, with things like mascara. my sis has lite blue eyes, but it depends, do u have fair skin ad hair, if so, use a brown mascara and eyeliners, or else it will be too severe, and unnatural.Makeup tips or help, PLEASE?
I think the best way to do your makeup is to put (Maybelline or Covergirl) eyeliner on the top only. I have very blue eyes, too. And I get a lot of compliments on them. And applying a thick, but not too thick line will make your eyes stand out. And also put mascara on the top lashes, and slightly on the bottom. And you can also add shadow on your eyelid (like a blue to match your eyes or a turquoise or green to bring out new colors to your eyes). Hope this helped!
if you really want your eyes to pop just apply eyeliner and mascarra
but it always depends on the lenght of your eyelashes and if you have watery eyes
lahes:
if you have long eyelashes dont apply mascarra because it kinda ruins them but if you really want to you can use any kind of them because they wont need the effect of looking longer and fuller
if you have medium lashes use mascarra that has the bristles kinda separated it will get every single hair and make them look fuller
if you ahve short lashes use the stuby kind of mascara because it will make your lashes look longer and better
eyeliner:
if you have watery eyes it is best to use the waterproof pencil eyeliner for the bottom part of your eye, make sure you dont rub your eyes or it will smear. if your eyes dont water you have more options in what eyeliner you want to use. every eye is different, it took a long time for me to find myself a brand that suits me. try colorstay by revlon pencil eyeliner.
if you want to apply makeup on the top of your eye use liquid eyeliner, i prefer pencil because i suck when it comes to drawing a straight line. =]
dont make the line too thick because it makes youe eyes look smaller, and it makes you look like you so don't anything about make-up. =]
hope these tips help you out
Eye shadow:
Try pink dewey eye shadow (Benefit makes great eyes shadows like that).
You could also stick with a neutral shade for the whole eye and do purples in the creases.
Eye liner: you need very little if you're using black, you could also line your eyes with a sheer gold liner as well.
The key is to keep things simple but enhanced - you don't want your eyes to lose any effect they already have.
How lucky you are to have beautiful baby blues! Taupe, gray, violet, or purple look great. If you want your blues eyes to really sparkle, try a blue eye shadow that's a shade or two darker than your eyes. To brighten any shade of blue, try fuchsia! Black eye liner can really make blue eyes stand out! I'm sure you'll find something but try those colors!! Good Luck!
you should wear bright blue eyeliner or like lime lighhhhht green.
then wear light blue eyeshadow or any colr u light..silver would be pretty also.
if u have trouble putting on makeup try it at home when u dont have to go out. if u do this often enogh u willl become better at it.
hope i helpeddd:D
Covergirl Golden Sunrise eyeshadow
Maybelline Colassal Volume in Glam Black or onyx (yellow and purple tube)
Maybelline unstoppable onyx eyeliner
Im very good at eye makeup and this is what i use for everyday use
I have blue eyes too
Gloss I just use Maybelline Lip plumper or lip polish
I have been having trouble with face makeup though
Help?
I have beautiful blue eyes too! Well black eyeliner and a smoky color on the top. Never do the ';raccoon'; eyes makeup because on blue eyes it makes your eyes look very small and you could put a green color on because green looks very good with blue eyes.
use a very natural eyeshadow....and use dark brown mascara and eyeliner...and on the days when you want to have a little more color, use a purple, or a green, etc eyeliner (it will draw attention to your eyes in a good way and it won't overpower your eyes)
okay. i have blue eyes too. and what i do is i put eyeliner on both the top and the bottom but just a thin line on the top and i use white shimmer as eye shadow.

a dark brown eyeliner and maybe try curling your lashes. that will make your eyes stand out.
For eye shadow wear colors like blue, pink, purple, and some bronze colors. For mascara were dark black. Blush were skin colors. Lipstick red or brown
Try mid. purple eyeshadow taking a light cream shadow apply it all over your lid then go with the purple eyeshadow middle way through :] Mascara on your top lashes small strokes
and light blush
eyeliner on the top and bottom try colors that compliment your skin tone or flashy ones if you want lots of attention

I need to find some info for an assigment on the history of makeup 1910 to present can anyone help??
World War I had a significant impact on the reach of cosmetics. Due to the sudden absence of men in American society, women gained more independence in the late 1910s, both socially and financially. This enabled them to acquire a disposable income, which many working class women used to buy make-up. The emergence of the chain, or dime, store in the 1920s further solidified the mass appeal of cosmetics. In 1927, permanent waving as a chemical method was invented, easing the process to achieve the popular look of waved hair.
Hollywood also affected the perception of tanned skin, reversing the emphasis on whiteness that had been encouraged until that point. This ad, from 1929, markets a self-tanning liquid and powder ';that beats the sun at his own game.'; The 1950s saw the increased marketing of skin tanning aids, following on the production of ';leg make-up'; during World War II, developed in response to the shortage of stockings during the war.
The ascension of television in the 1950s saw a transfer of the popular radio soap operas (programs whose sponsors were soap companies, such as Procter %26amp; Gamble) to television. Advertisements for cosmetics and hair products were prevalent. Lips and eyes were major points of emphasis for the cosmetics industry. The 1960s saw the growing popularity of both false eyelashes and ';natural'; cosmetic products. ';Natural'; products were those based on botanical ingredients like carrot juice and watermelon extract. In the 1970s certain ingredients were banned from use by the industry because of endangered species legislation that was passed as part of a growing environmental movement.
Today the American cosmetics and beauty aid industry totals over $20 billion in sales and is dominated by hair and skin care products that are heavily advertised in print and on television.I need to find some info for an assigment on the history of makeup 1910 to present can anyone help??
I'd look up the biography of Max Factor, a famous Hollywood make-up artist. In his bio may be other names or people who used cosmetics or invented them.
I do know that vaseline petroleum jelly was used as lip gloss first around 1920 or so. The photographers wanted the models ot have moist-looking lips The models lips would get chapped from them licking their lips all the time. Someone discovered petroleum jelly in a plumber's bag, and put it on her lips. No more lickign, and lips lok moist. The rest is, as they say, history!

First date, I need help with an outfit (makeup and all)?
Well im pretty tall and my date is short so I need to appear a little shorter, i have dirty blonde hair and dark blue eyes. Im not really a skirt person but everyone says I look good in them so I guess that you could choose that also what eyeshadow color or eyeliner should I wear? I want to look cute and sexy not trashy or revealing.First date, I need help with an outfit (makeup and all)?
since this is a 1st date wear a jean skirt at the knee(jean skirts r great for going out on surprise dates because u can go out with it to a movie or to dinner) also since ur taller don't wear heels instead wear flip-flops now just pick ur fav. shirt that might match the rest of ur outfit and ur all set
wear a light shiny lip gloss with eyeliner(not to dark) and considering it ur first date don't were eyeshadow because u don't want to go over the top now also leave ur hair down
good luck and have fun!!!!!!!!!First date, I need help with an outfit (makeup and all)?
try wearing a short dress with dress wear cool flats for a cool look
Wear flats. Black or dark brown eyeliner really brings out blue eyes. For eyeshadow, maybe a neutral like a light pink. wear something that you feel comfortable in. Depending on what type of date this is casual or formal, maybe a nice button down shirt and a nice skirt that isn't too short at least knee length.
okay first of all, you should dress how you feel comfortable. I guess it does depend on where you're going and all but dress how you feel comfortable. Next for eye liner you should wear a black or a dark brown. Then for eye shadow you should wear neutral colors. Finally, don't wear heels. Wear something flat.
also here's a tip for ya, If it's something you wouldn't usually wear , then don't do it now. ....ya know what I mean??
wear something your comfortable in and don't worry too much
Out Fit:
TOP-the top should be short not long sleeve, skirts don't go with long sleeve tops.
BOTTOM-since you want to look cute skirts are the way to go! i would suggest a long skirt, cause they make you look shorter.
SHOES- try to get shoes that look like something u will wear and 1 with no heels.
HAIR- leave your hair down cause it shapes you face, u look slimmer and will go g8 with you skirt. in saying that u can always accessorise, u can add clips or even wear a hair band.
Make up:
EYE SHADOW-got with baby pink ,baby blue or 2 shades litter than Ur skirt.
OTHER: eye line Ur top and bottom eyes, leaves your eyes more attractive! add a hint of blush either red or a shade litter that your skin.
