ELF is okay but it is not the highest quality. I would not try it because I care about my skin. Try products from L'Oreal or Maybelline. These are not very expensive but have a great reputation.
I just ordered ELF a few weeks ago (their shipping is super fast :P) and it's awesome! They're good quality, and yes, they do stay on long! For a dollar, you can't go wrong!
ELF is good for the price ($1) but definitely not top quality. Few of the eyeshadow quads are good, few are not. But the Custom eye shadows (Each pan is $1) pretty good quality. But you definitely have to use eye primer beneath it for them to show and last all day. They have a lot of different lip glosses. But you get the most out of your buck from their Super Glossy Lip Shine SPF 15. Their mineral foundation is decent. Their blushes are very good for $1. ELF blush/bronzer duo is $3 - I don't like the blush, but the bronzer is very good quality. Brushes from ELF are not very good - they don't last longer than few months. The only brush that's worth buying is the Eyeshadow Brush $1 and Eyeliner brush from their studio line ($3).
