The dance is in February, and I have everything ready to go except for how i'm going to do my makeup. I'm wearing a strapless brown and gold gown, with brown and gold jewelry. My eyes are green, my hair is blonde, and i'm fair skinned. Please help me!I need help with my makeup for a formal dance i'm going to. Read Below..?
Face : Before you apply anything on your face , cleanse your face thoroughly . Before you begin applying any make up , your face should be clean and free of excess oils. You should use a cleanser that will not dry out your skin.

Moisturize your face to ensure your makeup applies flawlessly and lasts for the night ! Apply your moisturizer on your fingertips and rub it all over your face evenly and leave it a few minutes to let it completely absorb.

Next apply concealer . Concealers help to cover up any blemishes or dark spots you may have. Never use to much concealer , its not a foundation. For best results you should use a concealer that is a shade lighter than your foundation so it isn't obvious.

Apply your foundation wither its liquid mousse or powder. Powder is longer lasting and provides a prefect coverage leaving you will a flawless look !

For liquid : Apply a small amount onto a container of some sort, then taking either a foundation brush or your fingertips apply a small amount on the t-zone and rub across your forehead right into the scalp. Then rub it into the sides of your eyes and on your eyelids. Then down the tip of your nose onto your cheeks rubbing it in thoroughly. Apply it evenly down the sides of your face so you aren't left with any lines.

For mousse : Apply a line down the middle of your face from hairline to chin and bring it out to the sides with Your fingers and rub it in evenly if you need anymore just use the same technique.

For powder : Apply your powder onto a brush , tap the brush to get rid of excess powder. Use the brush to apply foundation in a circular motion on face and neck area as needed. Start lightly on the cheeks and then gently move to the sides of your face. The brush will allow the powder to hold to your skin. Your coverage is dependent on how much you buss, so reapply to any areas you feel may need more coverage.

Blush : Add a little blush to your brush and starting at your cheekbone , brush the blush from your hair line going down to the apply of the cheek. Do not go back and forth as you may end up with streaks across the cheeks.

Eyes : Smokey eye

In order to create the perfect smokey eye , your goal is to make the lid are dark and highlight the brow area. This will draw instant attention to your eyes.

Start with applying a skin color eyeshadow to your full lid then take a light white pearly colour and brush it across the lid. Use a gold eyeshadow on the whole eyelid but be sure to blend it in with the pearl colour. Take a darker brown and apply it to the eyelid area also, blend it . Then with a light silver or white , highlight your brow bone. Close your eyes and take the darkest brown you have and take it from the tear duck and brush it across your crease in your eyelid creating a thin line and flick it out at the corner. Once you have done this take a gold or brown eyeliner , liquid is best. And apply a light thin line across the lash line. Use a black mascara , three coats for a volume affect. And curl them. That's it the smokey golden eye.

Lips : Apply a light pink lipstick, apply it heavy though ! Then take toilet roll or a dry tissue and kiss it to remove the bulk of your lipstick. Then take a lip liner in a shade almost identical and draw around your bottom lip , staying on the lip no skin ! This will create a bigger lip , which will make it stand out in a good way ! Then apply a nude lip gloss , and you will have luscious lips !

My eyes are hazel and my hair is blonde and since your dress is brown with some gold in it then you should try the same colors for your makeup. Try a brown liner for your eyes and a shadow with some gold tint to it. Also try using a bronze color blush and just apply it lightly since your complexion is fair. And try using some nude gloss so the colors won't be too overwhelming just practice a few looks ahead of time so that when the night comes you know exactly what you are going to do. I hope this helps you and I hope you have fun at your dance.
